FROM 1 TO 100: OUR BACK STORY

Bristol Tuition was conceived in 2011 by Sue Beer while she was lecturing Performing Arts Business at SGS College and working evenings as an English GCSE tutor. Sue was disappointed with the faceless agency she worked for, so she decided to start her own, less impersonal, more friendly one! The rest, as they say, is history! Bristol Tuition is now possibly Bristol’s largest combined home and school tutoring agency, offering well in excess of 100 UK qualified teachers tutoring a vast number of subjects, covering the entire national curriculum at all ages and levels alongside more niche subjects, such as music or Mandarin Chinese!

Sue is the driving force behind Bristol Tuition, bringing over two decades of experience in education and leadership to her role as Managing Director. A passionate educator at heart, Sue has dedicated her career to helping students unlock their full potential through personalised learning and expert guidance. With a background in both teaching and management, she has a deep understanding of the challenges our young people face in today’s academic landscape. Her vision for Bristol Tuition is to create a supportive, tutee-centred environment where each learner receives the tailored instruction and encouragement they need to thrive.
